| In a sewage treatment
plant project, the control center system need to real-time monitor instantaneous
flow quantity and total flow quantity of 4 sets of Rosemount flowmeters. Once
monitoring the instantaneous flow quantity and total flow quantity exceeds the
prescribed standard, the monitoring center immediately notify the site staff to
deal with it, to ensure the normal operation of the entire sewage treatment
plant system. The control center system uses AB PLC for remote monitoring and
control, and the Rosemount flowmeter supports the HART protocol.

Solution
|
| When the flowmeter
works, it supports HART protocol. The AB PLC of the monitoring center supports
EtherNet / IP Ethernet protocol, so two protocols are different. In order to
achieve data exchange between different protocols, we need to use the
third-party protocol conversion module. SST Automation's self-developed GT200-HT-EI
gateway, which has already been used in the STP projects, enables the HART and
EtherNet / IP protocols to be converted, which enables the monitoring center to
monitor instantaneous flow quantity and total flow quantity in real time.
