Network Interfaces

• Equipped with four Ethernet ports: 2 for Modbus TCP or EtherNet/IP and 2 for PROFINET, supporting independent IP address configuration for each network segment.

PROFINET Features

• Supports standard PROFINET RT and IRT protocols.
• Supports PROFINET MRP (Media Redundancy Protocol) for ring network redundancy.
• Supports up to 32 slots on the PROFINET side, with a maximum of 1440 input bytes and 1440 output bytes (actual usable length depends on PLC and PDU size of the communication module).
• Input/output byte lengths can be configured via TIA Portal or STEP 7.

EtherNet/IP Features

• Supports ODVA-compliant EtherNet/IP communication protocol.
• Acts as an EtherNet/IP adapter device.
• Supports Non-DLR (Device Level Ring) operation.

Modbus TCP Features

• Supports byte swapping options: No swap, 2-byte swap, 4-byte swap.
• Supports custom server port number; default port is 502.

Modbus TCP Client

• Connects to up to 72 Modbus TCP servers.
• Supported function codes: 0x01, 0x02, 0x03, 0x04, 0x05, 0x06, 0x0F, 0x10, 0x17.
• Supports up to 300 Modbus commands.
• Command output modes: Cyclic, Disabled, Change-of-Value, and Control Word Trigger.

Modbus TCP Server

• Handles up to 72 TCP client connections.
• Supported function codes: 0x01, 0x02, 0x03, 0x04, 0x05, 0x06, 0x0F, 0x10, 0x17.
